Winters means extra care.So we were sweaters, mufflers and apply moisturizers too.But what about our cars...don't they need extra care too ?
Here's is what you can do for your car this winter.
BATTERIES
Cold starting the car puts greater drain on batteries. Older batteries create problems,so if your battery is old always use the starter in short 5 seconds bursts ,if the engine doesn't start quickly then again another attempt maintaining a thirty seconds interval between each attempts.
RUBBER HOSES
WINDOW SEALS NEED PROTECTION TOO
Here's is what you can do for your car this winter.
ALCOHOL FOR WIPERS
For people who live in the hill states as in northeastern part of India (say) it is common to find ice on the wind screen, especially in peak winters. A few table spoon of rubbing alcohol into wind screen washer tank will turn the washer fluid into a deicing agent. But never use a alcohol which contain sugar base.

RUBBER HOSES
Cold weather stiffens rubber hoses in the engine. So check them regularly to avoid ,making them more susceptible to cracking.
WINDOW SEALS NEED PROTECTION TOO
In places that experiences snowfall, its common to find jammed car doors ,ice formation between the rubber seals and door so the only prevention is to lubricating the seals of doors with soft lubricators to prevent ice buildup and further wear and tear.
